Privacy policy

Unders is a free daily challenge game about your own phone habits. This policy explains what the app collects and what it never collects.

What stays on your phone

Unders uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls and DeviceActivity) with your permission. The apps and categories you choose, and how long you use them, are processed on your device by Apple's system. Unders cannot see app names, and your usage minutes are never sent to us or anyone else.

What we store

An anonymous account ID created when you first open the app (no email or phone number required).
The player name you choose, shown to other players.
For each day you play: whether you won, your points, and the titles and point values of the challenges you picked (for example, "Distraction apps under 90 min, 17 pts").
Your daily contest group and, if you use one, your friend code.

This data is stored with our database provider, Supabase, and is used only to run the game: results, groups and leaderboards. Other players can see your player name, wins, points and group standings.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
We don't use Screen Time data for anything other than running your challenges on your device.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your phone (for example, "10 minutes left" or "Your results are in").

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time through the support page. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone.

Children

Unders is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
